Description

Rottal Burn Restoration – 5 year review event

This river restoration review marks 5 years since the re-meandering of the Rottal Burn in Glen Clova, Angus, Eastern Scotland. The event is designed to bring together agencies and individuals who have been involved in this exemplar river restoration project over the years.

During the event there will be talks and posters describing the restoration process and tracking the monitoring and data that have been collected from the site in the last 5 years. There will be time for discussion and networking. The event is free to attend. Refreshments and sandwich lunch will be provided.

The Rottal Burn restoration project provides an example of successful stakeholder, landowner and agency collaboration, coupled with research and monitoring impact provided via multiple diverse student projects. These working relationships have been delivered through excellent communication and collaboration initiated by Esk Rivers & Fisheries Trust, along with Angus Council, and in conjunction with several Scottish universities. No mean feat!

Come hear all about it on October 5th at Abertay University.

Tickets are free but booking is essential.

The event is co-organised by: Abertay University, Esk Rivers & Fisheries Trust, The River South Esk Catchment Partnership and Angus Council
