River & Rail Theatre's 1st Annual (Online) Gala

We're thrilled to announce River & Rail Theatre's First Annual (Online) Gala on December 13th.

After such a long, wild year, we wanted to take a moment to connect, share our plans for 2021, and do what we've always done - celebrate artists!

So, what's the Gala going to be like? A virtual, video stream of art, entertainment, and connection!

Over the course of the evening, we'll be announcing our 2021-2022 Season, we'll be meeting some new River & Rail team members, and we'll get to watch performances by a handful of amazing artists...

Like, Tony Nominee Ethan Slater and Danny Skinner, Broadway's Original Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Star!

These incredibly talented performers will be our hosts for the evening and will be sharing music from the Tony Award-winning, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical.

You'll also get to see some familiar faces and local favorites throughout the night.

The cost to attend the Gala is Pay What You Can. We want everyone to be able to particiapte!

For those who want to partake a little more, we're creating different ticket and experience packages that you can explore below.

Ethan Slater starred as SpongeBob in SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway - for which he earned a Tony Nomination and won the Drama Desk Award (amongst others). He's been seen off-Broadway in PEMDAS, Who's Your Baghdaddy..., Claudio Quest, and more. And, when theater returns in New York, he will be playing Lee Harvey Oswald/The Balladeer in Assassins at Classic Stage Company. TV/Film: Fosse/Verdon (FX), Instinct (CBS), Law and Order: SVU (NBC), Murphy Brown (CBS), SpongeBob: Live On Stage (Nickelodeon); Evol, Kurt (upcoming), Ambush (upcoming).

Danny Skinner is a creative with experience acting on and off Broadway, producing theater and film, as well as writing for the stage and screen. His diverse talents have employed him in NYC, Chicago, LA, Dallas, and the UK. He originated the role of Patrick Star in "SpongeBob SquarePants The Broadway Musical" which performed as part of Broadway in Chicago at the Oriental Theater and in NYC at the Palace Theater on Broadway. He has also performed on the TODAY show, Good Morning America, CBS Sunday Morning, The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards. He reprised his role on “The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage!” which premiered on Nickelodeon and has just been released on DVD. Danny has also produced off Broadway, overseeing the NYC premiere of “Pluck the Day” as part of the Araca Group’s inaugural Araca Project.

He would also like to make sure it is known that he is better than Ethan Slater in every possible way.
