Join Us on a Riverboat Cruise
Friends and fellow world dominators,
Abraham Lincoln once said, "All I need to be happy in life is a yacht, some good company, and a bag of Doritos."
That is, of course, a lie. But if it were true, it would cleverly underscore just how amazing it'll be if you join us night, for a cruise through Portland on the famous Portland Spirit—our very own yacht, or at least our very own for a few hours.
At , you'll hop aboard the 150' ship and find yourself quickly relaxing on one of the three public decks, enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine from the full-service bar (cash) and free, light hors d'oeuvres.
You might even make your way onto The Spirit's marble dance floor as one of Portland's finest ensembles, Wayward Vessel, serenades you with an original folk tune.
As Gandhi always liked to say, "Ain't nothin' like a stringband to make me shake it on a night."
You'll relax on the upper deck, the wind playfully whipping your face as you watch the sun set over Portland from the river that supplies its vitality. You'll feel like a god as bridge after bridge opens and closes just to let you (!) through—cars backed up for your amusement.
And just as you think to yourself, "This couldn't get any better," you'll remember you're sharing the experience with 400 other amazing people from all over the world.
Why A River Cruise?
We put this activity together because we know our attendees. After a long day of life changing experiences, some of you just want to relax. You want something fun to do, but you don't want to wander around all night deciding where to go, jumping from party to party.
If that sounds like you, you're the reason we booked this cruise. Come relax for the evening. Listen to some music. Take in the sunset and scenery. And, most important, make a great connection with a fellow WDS attendee.
As Jack Kornfield once said, "When we get too caught up in the busyness of the world, we lose connection with one another - and ourselves."
That's actually true. See you on the 11th.
