Event description
A community conversation with tech leaders to share ideas, challenge the status quo and offer advice for both companies and individuals.

About this Event

NPower, with the support of Citi Foundation, is on a mission to help more women claim their space in tech and provide the strategies to advance their careers.

The 40 by 22 initiative seeks to launch tech careers for 2,400 young women by 2022 by providing the in-demand skills needed to prosper in the digital economy. Our goal is to fill the growing tech skills gap by expanding the student enrollment of young women to 40% of our free Tech Fundamentals program nationally over the next four years.

Join us for this 40 by 22 convening event where we will discuss strategies for career advancement and how we can collectively address wage equity. This community conversation will bring together tech leaders to share ideas, challenge the status quo and offer advice for both companies and employees in an attempt to minimize the hurdles young women of color face in pursuit of a career in technology.

SPEAKERS

  • Ann Marr | Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources, World Wide Technology
  • Shai’kenya Williams-Brown | Information Systems Security Manager, United States Department of Defense

This program is made possible by a grant from Citi Foundation as part of their Pathways to Progress Initiative.
