Join renowned Buddhist teacher and best-selling author Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche for a public talk and book signing at the New York Society for Ethical Culture.

When: November 8th, 2013 at 7pm

Where: The New York Society for Ethical Culture

              2 W 64th Street  New York City, NY 10023

New York City...we come here for excitement and opportunity and the next minute we think we must be crazy to live here. The buzz, the drive, the noise, the challenges and demands can be overwhelming. Creating space and balance for ourselves may seem impossible. And the state of the world may leave us feeling discouraged and helpless.

In the midst of the speed and aggression, more and more people are turning to mindfulness and other contemplative practices. While we may see the benefits of such practices, it is often difficult to find the time in our already full schedule. How can we discover a relationship with ourselves and society that is based on appreciation for things just as they are? Can finding our own inherent clarity, resilience and stability help shift our own lives and the city in which we live?

Join us for an evening talk with celebrated Buddhist teacher and national best selling author Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. He will talk about proven methods to deal with daily problems and how we can integrate mindfulness into our busy lives. You will learn simple yet practical approaches on how to relate more openly with ourselves, others, and the world we live in.  Come and hear how MAKING a meaningful and fulfilling life in New York City is POSSIBLE.

This is bravery: using the challenges of daily life to sharpen our mind and open our heart.
