Rishta in hindi and urdu means to have a relationship or connection with someone, but it is most commonly used around dating and marriage. It is a hot topic among family, friends, colleagues and lovers. We have all experienced various types and forms of of dating or “rishta” stories, some funny, some terrifying, some outright hilarious, some fails and some successes. People have been sharing stories forever, whether around the fire, in folklore, at bedtime, in letters, over late night phone calls or emergency coffee meetings.
We are excited to bring you an evening where stories break silence and nourish us, help us feel, and help us dream. We welcome your participation in the Rishta MonologuesTM— an evening of sharing your “Rishta” (dating) stories. This is an evening of storytelling, fun, and theatrics. If you are interested in sharing a story or your story, please fill out Rishta MonologuesTM Story Poll by April 24, 2017 to help us plan our program. Your stories can be funny, sad, frustrating, crazy, happy, or anything you would like to share.
