Speaker 1 – Terry Carson, Blockchain Intelligence at TRM Labs

Terry currently works as a member of the Blockchain Intelligence team at the cryptocurrency compliance firm TRM Labs, and has prior experience as a senior associate in PwC's Financial Crimes Unit. As a student of mathematics, his interest in the industry is driven by the challenge of using analytical techniques and large-scale computations as means to increase trust in cryptocurrencies and help alleviate compliance obstacles for businesses seeking to become involved in this growing field.

Speaker 2 – Melisa Ortes González, Associate at Kobre & Kim

Dual qualified as a U.S. and Argentine lawyer, Melisa Ortes González has extensive experience representing major cryptocurrency exchanges, leading proprietary cryptocurrency trading firms, and company founders and executives in high-stakes investigations and enforcement actions brought by different regulatory federal agencies. Ms. Ortes Gonzalez’s vast knowledge of the industry also serves to design and deploy cross-border cryptocurrency recovery strategies for victims of theft, fraud, and cyberattacks.

Speaker 3 - Briana Ramgeet, Cryptocurrency Trader at Ramgeet Enterprises

After earning her degree in Economics in 2019, Briana entered corporate America with the COVID-19 pandemic planning to make it’s grand entrance. The world as we all knew it changed and went predominantly digital for the first time. Eager to make her dreams reality, Briana used her expertise and began to teach herself about cryptocurrency and digital assets to build capital for her business endeavors. She went from working at the world’s largest data provider in the FinTech industry to branding herself as a business and taking control of her career path.

Speaker 4 - Andrew Hong, Data Scientist at Mirror.xyz

Andrew is currently at Mirror.xyz as a data scientist, focused on web3 user experience research and data-driven token design. In the past, he has worked on smart contract architecture with DeFi startups like Spectral.finance and enterprise clients at ConsenSys Software.

Speaker 5 - Colin DeLarso, AVP Ventures & Innovation at Barclays, "Decrypting Crypto" Report Lead

Colin joined Barclays 3 years ago within the US markets group working across several structured product desks. He also spent a year working in ECM/Equity Syndicate launching equity offerings, IPOs, and SPACs. Colin joined Group Innovation in March of 2021 and has worked on several teams within the group, most recently leading the “Decrypting Crypto” Insights report which launched on November 2nd. Colin currently sits on several Crypto/Blockchain working groups across Barclays’ business lines. He has closely watched and invested in crypto since early 2017.
