Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

This film won the 2017 Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival Award for Best Animal Behavior Film, besting "Planet Earth" films in this category.

The film tells the 25-year story of the rise of the largest and most powerful troop of chimpanzees ever known – the formidable Ngogo community in Uganda. The story is told entirely from the perspective of the scientists who have lived along side them for a quarter of a century – including Institute of Human Origins Research Affiliate and School of Human Evolution and Social Change Assistant Professor Kevin Langergraber. Langergraber will open with a presentation of how he was involved in the film and the research that he continues to do today.
