Transforming University Engagement in Pre- and Post-Disaster Environments: Lessons from Puerto Rico
ABOUT:
Join us for a three-day interdisciplinary conference exploring how institutions of higher education can strengthen preparedness, response, and recovery efforts in the face of a changing climate and extreme weather.
Using Hurricane Maria recovery efforts as a case study, RISE 2019 will develop an integrated framework for higher education in pre- and post-disaster environments.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
University leaders, scholars and researchers, as well as professional staff and students; stakeholders from local, state and federal government, utilities, emergency managers, planners, and non-profit organizations.
