About the Speakers
KJ Freeman is a curator, performance artist, and art dealer from Harlem, NY. They have run HOUSING gallery since 2017. An advocate for the most disenfranchised and marginalized in our society her curatorial practice encompasses theoretical exploration and centering the other. They have had writing featured in Spike Magazine, and features in HyperAllergic, ArtForum, ArtNews, ArtNet. and ArtNewsPaper. KJ has recently curated Limbo a solo exhibition of Nathaniel Oliver, at HOUSING.
Heather Hubbs is the Executive Director of New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA).
Robert Hult 01 PT is a founding owner of Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery in New York. He has also held solo exhibitions of drawings by Butt Johnson at CRG Gallery in New York and at Talley Dunn Gallery in Dallas Texas, and participated in group exhibitions at the FLAG Art Foundation, Kerry Schuss Gallery, and Foxy Production in New York, The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, The Akron Museum of Art in Akron, OH, The Contemporary Art Museum Houston, and The Pizzuti Collection in Columbus, OH. He is a recipient of a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. A 2001 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, he lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He has taught classes as an adjunct in both the Painting and EFS departments at RISD since 2011.
Dominic Molon is the Richard Brown Baker Curator of Contemporary Art at the RISD Museum. Since joining the Museum in 2013, he has curated numerous exhibitions including Raid the Icebox Now projects with Nicole Eisenman and Simone Leigh, as well as a major survey of the work of Scottish artist Martin Boyce. He is currently co-organizing the exhibition Any distance between us with independent curator and RISD alumnus Stephen Truax focusing on the subject of intimacy and opening May 2021.
