Who are we?

Kristen & Joanna share a similar passion of speaking life over women with a desire for them to know their true identity in order to live life on purpose… in order to THRIVE not just survive, which is why they have partnered up to bring you Ripple Retreat 2017!

Kristen is founder of Fit & Free ministry where she uses her passion for health and wellness to empower women to live their life on purpose. After spending 10 years in the marketplace, it was clear to her that the chapters were turning as she was being called into ministry. She had NO IDEA what this would look like but agreed to just keep taking one step at a time which started with leading a Bible Study out of her basement for the past 7 years. She has been married to her husband Phil for 11 years and is momma to Kaylee (8) and Kole (4). Kristen has a B.A. from Eastern Michigan University and over 10 years of study in God’s word. This blend is the perfect pair for her love of spreadsheets, Jesus and people. In May 2016, she became a certified fitness instructor and wellness coach through Revelation Wellness® which teaches others how to live healthy and whole lives in Christ.

Health and fitness has been a foundational part of Joanna’s life for many years. As a decorated athlete, at the University of Michigan, she learned the importance of taking care of her body. Completing her Masters in Kinesiology allowed Joanna to pass on this knowledge to others as she worked in the corporate wellness field. When God blessed her with children, she left the corporate world to homeschool and focus on her family. Through her 56 years on this earth, Joanna has maneuvered through many seasons of life. Her passion lies with helping women understand their true identity in Jesus, not the world, leading them to not just a healthy body but a joyful spirt. She has walked through life with many women as a “Princess Pack” Bible study leader and speaker and currently works with her sons at Eagle Artistry as a Christian jewelry artist.

Our Mission?

To say we live in a fast-paced world would be a major understatement. It seems we live and die by the hour these days and yet, after completing packed schedules and never-ending to-do lists, we still close many of our days empty. It's clear we need to be filled up, all the way up… physically, mentally, spiritually.

Over the years we have found that many women get it right in one area of life but still feel empty in other areas. This is not an ordinary retreat, we believe in WHOLE-istic living.... meaning, filling up every capacity- mind, body and spirit. If you are full spiritually but don't know where to begin with healthy living, we have a spot for you. If you are well educated on living a healthy lifestyle but still often feel empty, we want to share with you some practical and relevant ways to grow deeper in your faith. If you consider yourself an analytical thinker but have never enjoyed moving your body, let us try a new thing! If you love music and worship, have you ever tried worshiping while you exercised or practiced being still?

Whether this all sounds awesome... or crazy.... we want to invite you to a weekend to be filled while gathering with a community to try new things in a safe and fun place.

Ripple Retreat was created just for this.

We believe that one person can make a huge ripple effect in a community but you can not pour out what you haven't allowed to be poured in. Come and be filled up!

Kristin is a self-proclaimed bible study junkie with a heart for reminding women that redemption is loud, messy business. Since meeting Jesus in 2009, Kristin has thrived on meeting people from all walks and celebrating God's work in their lives. She loves to worship through the arts, whether turning prayers into paintings or connecting with the Gospel through writing. You can often find her clutching her favorite mug while walking through Northville where she lives with her husband Thomas and their littles, Eli and Ella.

Nikki Pulido- Presenter

In this role, she creates and executes plans for learning consultants to first LEARN, then GROW, then LEAD. She wears a variety of hats: from recruiter, to coach, to interviewer, to leadership trainer. Her strongest passion is developing our greatest resource on the planet: people.

Nikki is a wife to Brent of 7 years and mother of two boys, Nixon (4) and Brooks (2). At home, Nikki's focus at work never takes a front seat to the love she showers her family. Nikki believes in exposing her boys to love, sincerity, serenity and creativity on a daily basis. Her desire to raise two boys who will love and respect all people, regardless of differences, is a testament to her love and to her relationship with Jesus.
