French playwright and comedy master, Molière, was the creator of the farce, which featured ribald comedy and biting satire of the day's events. His legacy can still be felt today in the world of comedy, and in Ridiculous Vices: Molière Improvised, you'll get to experience, first-hand, the skill of this comedy master. This improv show is based on your suggestions and performed in Molière's style, so prepare for a night of improbable situations, mistaken identities, high-energy action and snappy dialogue.
Every weekend, Unexpected Productions' presents its ongoing production of Theatresports, the longest running show in Seattle. This is the show that inspired Whose Line Is It Anyway. Using audience suggestions and random events, never before seen scenes erupt on the spot, live and unscripted.
Relying on years of experience, wicked-sharp wit and lightning-fast reflexes, two teams of experienced actors standoff against each other, in a fiercely competitive improv match. They are competing against each other in a knockout-style competition for the ultimate prize – glory and admiration! Theatresports is performed every Friday and Saturday at 10:30 PM
Each night the two most valuable audience suggestions win prizes and/or free passes to another show! The best suggestions are usually honest answers that come from our audiences’ lives, so don't be afraid to speak up! After each scene, a panel of judges (sometimes guest celebrities) scores each team based on narrative, technical improv and general entertainment. The winning team returns the following week to meet a new challenger.
TheaterSports, all the way! They are goofy, silly, funny, unabashed, clever, witty people. I didn't know what to expect before going but found myself laughing at practically everything they did or said. This is improv comedy at its finest.
