Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

The Bay Area is home to one of the most comprehensive and complex transit systems in the US. Those of us who ride transit regularly forget that we once asked for help buying a ticket, transferring between systems or finding the right train platform.

There's nothing like guidance from a friendly local when you're feeling a little lost on transit. All the printed signs and arrows in the world don't offer the same reassurance as tips from a fellow rider. This is why we—a group of staff from County Connection, VTA, Golden Gate Transit and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission—are enlisting regular riders to share their expertise and help make someone's trip on transit a little easier.

If you'd be happy to get tapped on the shoulder at Bay Area rail stations and bus stops for directions, clarification or reassurance, let your community know. Join the Riders Helping Riders (RHR) community and be known as the friendly face we all need from time to time.

Join us for the Riders Helping Riders happy hour and working session this Thursday night, March 2 from 5:30-7pm, @ SPUR SF . We'll provide more details about RHR, including how we came to this idea. We want your feedback so we can grow a robust RHR community.

Refreshments will be provided! RSVP is encouraged. Hope to see you there.
