Event Details

Join us for what promises to be a lively panel discussion on the potential changes to and impacts on the construction industry under President Trump’s administration. The panel will discuss potential policies and their impact on our industry, changes in general economic conditions, investor confidence and what the new President might mean for the green agenda.

 

Program:

Nevin Sood, MRICS, Director, Turner & Townsend

Nevin Sood has over 20 years of extensive and diverse international experience in asset management and specialist engineering services. His expertise includes whole life costs and asset management – generating life cycle cost asset renewal models to ISO15686 and carrying out investment appraisals for asset optimization. Nevin works with investors, developers and occupiers to engineer sustainable real estate solutions that reduce Opex and Carbon emissions year on year. Nevin performs risk analysis of property portfolios to identify exposures to yield, ERV and capital value through energy related legislation. He was a member of the British Army, Military Intelligence and Special Operations. He was a qualified Special Forces Communicator and Intelligence Operator with operational experience in the Middle East and Africa. He has his BSc in Chartered Surveyor, Chartered Engineer and Chartered Energy Manager.

Greg Spittle, Vice President, Turner & Townsend

Greg Spittle has over 20 years’ experience as a professional consultant with a successful track record across a broad range of sectors and services. His main focus has been on project controls but he is also experienced in cost, program and value and risk management. His experience in more specialized areas includes developing, leading high performing teams, process optimization and the creation of management information systems. Greg utilizes his expertise in strategic cost management and his ability to quickly understand an organization’s business needs to tailor optimized commercial solutions. His experience extends geographically having successfully delivered projects in the UK and across the United States. Greg has his BSc (Hons) in quantity surveying from the University of Central England.

Jason Moody, Principal, EPS

Jason Moody is a Managing Principal at Economic & Planning System, a land use economics firm with offices in California (Oakland, Los Angeles, and Sacramento) and Denver, Colorado. He has over 20 years of consulting experience serving both public and private sector clients throughout California and beyond. He specializes evaluating the development feasibility of real estate development, financing public infrastructure and services, and quantifying the economic impacts of major land use programs and activities. Recent projects include work for Google, the High Speed Rail Authority, the University of California (UC), and numerous municipalities and special districts in California. Mr. Moody holds a BA in economics from UC Santa Cruz and a Master in Public Policy from the UC Berkeley Goldman School.

Andrea Traber, Senior Principal, Bay Area Management Leader

Andrea contributes over 20 years of experience as project architect and principal on numerous green building projects, climate action plans, as well as sustainability and energy programs, to the Integral team. Throughout her career, Andrea has dedicated herself as a leader with several green building and sustainability organizations, including the USGBC Northern California Chapter. Andrea served three terms on the Board of Directors, with three years as President, and is currently serving on the Strategic Advisory Board of the Healthy Communities Initiative. Most recently, she co-chaired the host committee for Greenbuild 2012, and the Regionalization Committee for LEED v4. She is a sought after speaker on such topics as zero net energy design, sustainable communities, and green building. In 2013, Andrea was invited by former Vice-President, Al Gore to attend a Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training, where she was named a “Climate Leader.” Through this initiative, Andrea is educating communities about climate change and building local networks of climate activists, who work in their own communities and countries demanding solutions.
