Rick Danko Birthday Celebration with Professor Louie & The Crowmatix

Back by popular demand after a sold out show last year, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix with The Woodstock Horns led by Dan Shaut will present a concert honoring the late great Rick Danko to celebrate his music and Birthday. Rick Danko was an integral part of the popular music landscape. His stories are legendary in Woodstock and throughout the world and everyone who knew him has a story to tell.

Professor Louie & The Crowmatix performed with Rick many times and was his backing group for many shows and on his last solo recording Times Like These. Rick was an integral part of getting the personnel together for Professor Louie & The Crowmatix

Professor Louie also wears the hat of award-winning Recording Producer and Engineer, capturing the talents of some of the world's most highly acclaimed musicians, most notably, Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame group The Band. Professor Louie collaborated with The Band for over 16 years and producing their 3 comeback CD's in the 90's – Jericho, High On The Hog and Jubilation. Louie played on and produced their hit song Atlantic City. Rick Danko christened him Professor Louie due to his work and friendship with The Band.

Professor Louie & The Crowmatix latest recording Strike Up The Band released in 2022 on The Woodstock Records label has received fantastic reviews and has been on The Roots Music Radio Charts in the top 40 for the past nine months . PL&C have released sixteen studio CD’s on The Woodstock Records label.
