Welcome to the Richland College family!
We are thrilled to have you as one of the newest members of the Richland College family. You have made a very important decision to continue your education, and we are excited you chose us! We encourage you to immediately begin the registration process once you have been accepted for enrollment at Richland College. For new to college students, your registration will take place at a required OAR Session.
What’s an OAR Session?
The Orientation, Advising and Registration Session is a very important step in your preparation for college life at Richland. This experience will provide you an opportunity to
meet other new students,
tour the campus (no tours during August events)
participate in academic advisement and register for your classes.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Yes, you need any type of photo ID in order to attend. (examples: passport, state id, high school id, etc.)
What time do I need to arrive?
Sessions will begin PROMPTLY at the listed start time. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes early to sign in.
What happens if I am late?
Being late is never a good idea. If you are late, you may not be allowed to attend and will have to come back to the next session. Don't miss your timeslot. Classes are filling up fast.
How long will it take?
The entire process can take up to 4 hours. Please allow the entire 4 hours to complete the process. By the end of the process you will be enrolled in classes and a full fledged Thunderduck.
Why do the event times in January look different?
During the month of January, we have the highest number of new students registering for classes. In order to accomodate the demand, we have modified our OAR schedule to run overlapping events. Some students will be finishing the process as some others are just beginning. Everyone receives the same information.
