Event description

Description

Richard Rothstein, author of Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America will speak to book clubs and community members about his groundbreaking book. As the book lays out, our community’s history of segregation has roots in all of our sectors: local, state and federal government, real estate profession, lending, city planning, law, and education, etc.

Through out summer LISC Milwaukee and the Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council have facilitated a large-scale community book read of Color of Law. MMFHC and LISC’s goal is to develop a shared understanding of past to facilitate a more equitable future.

A BIG thank you for the sponsorship of WPR: The Ideas Network and AFT Local 212 at MATC!
