Real Food Real Stories - Connecting You to the People and Places Behind Our Food

An RFRS Supperclub is an intimate and immersive community gathering set in home environments over shared meals and around honest and authentic storytelling from changemakers in agriculture and food.

On Thursday, February 1st, participate in an intimate conversation with Yana Gilbuena, a Filipino-born, critically-acclaimed nomadic chef, and founder of SALO Series, a global pop-up dinner series that shares the vibrant food culture of the Philippines. Our curated evening will take place in a private Potrero Hill home*, where we will gather over a Kamayan-style meal (eating with our hands!) and listen to Yana's fascinating, year-long journey traversing the US, cooking 50 dinners in 50 states and beyond.

*Exact location details and directions will be sent via email confirmation closer to the event.

Curated Meal with a Story

Join us for a beautifully-curated meal, served Kamayan-style, that is, communal and eaten with our hands, by storyteller and chef Yana Gilbuena, which will feature elements of her personal story and her SALO Series, derived from "Salu-salo" which means a gathering. Sourcing locally and seasonally, SALO aims to cultivate cultural awareness and create communities through food.
