Description

The Reykjavik CrossFit® Championship will be held in Iceland´s national sports arena, Laugardalsholl, from May 3rd to May 5th. A 3 day event that is one of the 16 CrossFit® Sanctionals™ Events and that means that first place winners will secure an invitation to the CrossFit Games. The online qualifiers will take place from February 8th to February 17th.

The Reykjavik CrossFit® Championship Finals will host the top thirty male, thirty female athletes and 10 teams that successfully complete the online qualifier. In order to qualify for The Reykjavik CrossFit® Championships Finals, every athlete must complete three online qualifier workouts.


INDIVIDUAL QUALIFIER

FEB. 8 - FEB. 17, 2019

Three individual workouts will be posted on February 8th (12:01 AM GMT). Participants have until midnight of Sunday, February 17th (23:59 GMT) to film their workouts and scores and post them on this website.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS:

Anyone looking to qualify as an individual must submit a video of each workout and their scores. One video for each of the three qualifier workouts.

TEAM QUALIFIER

FEB. 8 - FEB. 17, 2019

Teams will work like the CrossFit Open where everyone signs up as an individual and then after the qualifiers are done the team score is calculated where the two highest female scores and the two highest male scores from the team roster will contribute to the teams score in each workout. An individual athlete who is part of a team roster and accepts an invite to the individual competition will not contribute to the teams score.

  • A team captain will register a team under a TEAM NAME.
  • Athletes need to enter the "TEAM NAME" registered by the team captain to belong to that TEAM.
  • The team roster can have unlimited number of athletes in the qualifier.
  • After the qualifer the top 10 teams will be sent an invite to the Finals and the team captain will register a 6 people roster, 3 female and 3 male athletes out of the team roster.

Three workouts will be posted on February 8th (12:01 AM GMT). All athletes in a team roster will perform the three individual workouts and the two highest female and two highest male scores will contribute to the teams score for each workout. Participants have until midnight of Sunday, February 17th (23:59 GMT) to film their workouts and scores and post them on this website.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS:

Any team looking to qualify must ensure that every team member that contributes a score for the team roaster must submit a video of each qualifier workouts and submit their scores. One video for each of the three qualifier workouts.
