Event description
RevitalizeWA is Washington’s annual statewide conference focused on historic preservation and economic revitalization.

About this event

To accommodate both the need for ongoing public health considerations as well as the value of providing in-person learning opportunities, we’re pleased to announce that RevitalizeWA 2021 will be conducted as a hybrid event. On Monday, September 27, we’ll be fully virtual with 15+ educational and networking opportunities and the ever-popular Excellence on Main. Then, Tuesday, September 28 through Friday, October 1, we’ll take the show on the road for three locally hosted days of curated in-person learning.

We are thrilled that Gig Harbor, Prosser and Colville will serve as host sites for the in-person days of RevitalizeWA Roadshow 2021! These diverse cities offer attendees a glimpse into the resiliency and ingenuity of small Washington Main Street Communities.

Schedule of Events

  • Monday, September 27: Virtual Learning + Excellence on Main
  • Tuesday, September 28: In-person learning in Gig Harbor
  • Wednesday, September 29: In-person learning in Prosser
  • Thursday, September 30: No events
  • Friday, October 1: In-person learning in Colville

Detailed schedule forthcoming. Broadcast information and attendee logins will be sent to registered attendees in September.

We encourage all attendees to register for the Monday virtual day, whether or not you plan to attend an in-person day as well. Then, you’ll have the option to add on a day of in-person learning in one of the host communities. Please note that the in-person learning days in Gig Harbor, Prosser and Colville will be capped in attendance due to on-going COVID restrictions.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be following all CDC and State of Washington guidelines for COVID restrictions at the date of the event.

Since 1984, the Washington State Main Street Program has been helping communities revitalize the economy, appearance, and image of their downtown commercial districts using the successful Main Street Approach®. In 2010, the Main Street Program was moved from the Department of Commerce to the Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation. The program is managed (under contract) by the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation.
