Revealing the Anatomy of a Museum

We are opening the doors to the Museum of Life Sciences, a hidden collection usually inaccessible to the public. The three 'open house' days will enable people to explore this incredible atmospheric space, view the work in progress of artist-in-residence Tamsin van Essen and engage with anatomical conservation processes. These events coincide with 300 years of Anatomy on the site that is now King's College London.

Tamsin van Essen is collaborating with Dr Richard Wingate, Head of Anatomy at King's, as part of the Parallel Practices Residency programme. Parallel Practices is a pilot project, run as a partnership between the Crafts Council and the Cultural Institute at King's College London, with the aim of demonstrating the mutual benefits of collaboration between medical academics and makers.

Opening Times:

Sunday 14th Dec 11am-4pm

Monday 15th Dec 11am-4pm

Tuesday 16th Dec  Closed

Wednesday 17th Dec 11am-4pm
