Rev: Ithaca Startup Work’s Office Hours give members the opportunity to reserve an appointment with a Rev Entrepreneur-In-Residence (EIR) or a guest expert to discuss strategy, seek assistance with business connections, and receive valuable feedback. Office Hours are hosted by our EIRs or selected guests on a rotating basis and are typically offered each week.

Office Hours with Gregory Thomson will be held 9:00am-12:00pm & pre-registration is required for a 30-minute session. Registration for this event will close the day before the event, on March 26th at 9:00am. About Gregory Thomson:

Gregory A. Thomson is an Attorney Of Counsel in Miller Mayer’s Business Services and Intellectual Property practice groups.

Mr. Thomson’s practice focuses on intellectual property, financial, and commercial transactions in the media, technology, entertainment, and innovation-driven industries. He advises clients in New York City, Central New York, California, and internationally on matters including venture financing, technology licensing, motion picture and television distribution, international co-production and financing, entertainment industry talent agreements, executive employment agreements, literary rights acquisitions and sales, and entertainment industry estate representation.

Mr. Thomson’s experience includes senior executive positions in multiple venture-financed technology companies; heading business affairs for Quincy Jones Productions in Los Angeles, and serving as an expert on entertainment industry economics in the wrongful death lawsuit brought by heirs of Notorious B.I.G. He began his career as an associate at a top national law firm in Los Angeles.

Mr. Thomson also serves as a strategic advisor to Cornell University’s Center for Technology Licensing – Cornell’s technology transfer office – which manages and licenses Cornell’s extensive portfolio of technologies from Cornell’s Ithaca campus, Weill Cornell Medicine, Cornell Tech, and Cornell AgriTech. In this capacity, Mr. Thomson advises on matters including equity investments in tech startups, patent and copyright licensing, and business development.

Mr. Thomson received a JD from Yale Law School, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a BA from Yale College. He is admitted in New York and California.
