About this Event

Sustainable Youth and Children's Ministry with Rev. Mark DeVries

Yale Divinity School | 12:00pm Lunch; 12:30pm Lecture

Join us Wednesday, March 4th for a free Lunch and Lecture in the Old Refectory at Yale Divinity School. Yale Youth Ministry Institute (YMI) is proud to present our second Lunch + Lecture of the Spring semester! This afternoon's lecture will feature Rev. Mark DeVries.

In the world of youth and children’s ministry, there are a handful of constant factors that allow ministries to thrive over the long haul. This workshop introduces children’s workers, youth workers, and senior pastors to those patterns that notoriously keep ministries stuck and to systems and strategies most likely to result in culture change. The thorny challenge of building healthy and engaged volunteer teams will be used as a culture-change case study for participants to workshop.

Rev. Mark DeVries is the founder of Youth Ministry Architects and oversees the youth ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee. His books include Sustainable Youth Ministry and Family-Based Youth Ministry.

This event is free and open to the public.
