Event description
Start your low waste journey by making your own reusable produce bags!

About this Event

Do you want to use less plastic? Would you like to learn how to sew?

In this relaxed and informal workshop, we will teach you how to make personalised reusable bags such as a vegetable produce bag, a drawstring bag or a bread bag, from fabric offcuts. You will learn how to follow a simple pattern and sew the bags using a sewing machine. Fabric will be available, however we encourage you to bring any fabric that can be upcycled. No sewing skills necessary, all levels welcome.

A perfect evening to learn a new skill, share tips on low waste living and meet like-minded people.

All tools, materials and refreshments are provided.

Rethink Reduce Reuse Together

About Us:

Sunny Jar Eco Hub is a not-for-profit social enterprise, founded by Maud and Linda who want to make low waste living easy and accessible for all. We are on a mission to get Londoners rethinking their waste, reusing what they've got and up-cycling! A sustainable textiles artist, Maud has been living low waste for a number of years and is a keen up cycler, creating beautiful weaves, jewellery and bags from waste materials. Linda is a health and wellbeing professional who wants to share her passion of sustainable living with others. A healthy person can only exist with a healthy environment!
