Event description

We're just weeks away from joining Art & friends to celebrate his

remarkable life and accomplishments. We’ll celebrate his 30 years

of dedicated, inspired teaching, his leadership and unwavering

commitment to EDF, as well as his friendship.

     Reunion Dinner Party

       Saturday, October 8th, 3 pm - 9 pm

     Field Trip to Osprey Park

      Sunday, October 9th, 7 am- 3 pm

Bring your own lunch or snack locally

On Sunday, 10/9, We can shuttle, or caravan, to Osprey Park, only 9 miles from Puleston’s, to view resident Bald Eagles and a population of Ospreys. As experienced birders know, you are best rewarded at dawn, therefore the first run to Osprey Park is scheduled to leave Puleston’s at 7 am.

We are privileged to have our field trip organized and led by Art’s colleague and friend, Bill Konstant, a native of Long Island. For the last 40 years, Bill has worked to help ensure the survival of endangered species and their habitats. He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and went on to obtain a master’s degree in Psychology (Animal Behavior) from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.  Bill has worked for several global conservation organizations, including the World Wildlife Fund, Wildlife Preservation Trust International, Conservation International and the International Rhino Foundation, and has helped establish conservation programs at several zoos in the United States. Today, Bill serves as a consultant to the Margot Marsh Biodiversity Foundation and the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund.  His Trekking for Rhinos 2015 initiative was a personal commitment last year to hike 2,015 miles, raising awareness of efforts to protect threatened rhinos in Africa and Asia.

We hope you’ll join us on an excursion that is a testament to the enduring goals and success of EDF’s activism. Eventbrite remains open ONLY for field trip reservations. To help us gauge interest, please go to:

See you in October!
