Description

RETRO FACTORY TAKES US BACK TO BELLE EPOQUE PARIS WITH VOULEZ-VOUS?

An homage to the indulgent, decadent and legendary Moulin Rouge

In Partnership with Queer Queens.

Come deliciously decked out in Belle Epoque-inspired fashions and dance the night away in our 12,000- square-foot, warehouse art gallery that will become the Moulin Rouge, as designed by Frank Oliva (Oklahoma!) and Andrew Garvis. Experience flashmob-style recreations of dance numbers from the famed film by Baz Luhrman with choreography from Broadway's Chris Gattelli, Mark Myars, Omar Nieves Delgado, and Elisabetta Spuria!

Hear music spanning the eras spun by Queer DJ Bright Light Bright Light from Club Cumming. Partygoers will be greeted by an opulent champagne sculpture and can partake in intimate one-on-one experiences guided by the band of mischievous minions lead by opera director Raymond Zilberberg.

Gogo Dancers Pinwheel Pinwheel, AMAR, BlakDyana, and Ayse Billi

Hosts for this party will include New York’s Queer Voices/Influencers @TheGayGaston, Garrett Swann, Disgrace, Glow Job, and ChaddyBoyChad. They will be alongside the main provocateuse; the illustrious and talented Drag Star: Sucia

Voulez-Vous? Do you want? You know you do!

Belle Epoque attire and attitude strongly encouraged!

Photographers Laurie Rhodes, Clay Burch, and Mike Sullivan

LONG ISLAND CITY - “After the success of 1983, we can’t wait to transport our guests to the famed Moulin Rouge,” says Carlos Armesto, Producing Artistic Director of Theatre C. “The Moulin Rouge was a safe haven for fun and abandon, where people of all walks of life could come to revel, dance and express their truest self. We want to create that same place of wonder and inclusion in our warehouse in Long Island City,” he says. Co-producer Daniel Nardicio lauded the RETRO FACTORY team saying, “These guys know how to throw a party. We couldn’t be happier to be partnering up with them again.”
