How to plan and save to reach your financial goals shouldn't be a mystery – retirewise workshops can help. During this one-day, four-part seminar, you'll cover all the bases and come away with a clearer path to retirement.

Section 1: Building the Foundation 

Envision the retirement you want and how you will finance it based on current and future retirement trends. We will cover the financial basics and budgeting for retirement.   Topics include: 

- Personal retirement aspirations

- Understanding the impact of compounding and inflation

- Having a tax-diversification strategy

 

Section 2: Creating and Managing Wealth

Learn about the principles of investing and the general rules of accumulating wealth and understanding the risks you need to manage.  

Topics include: 

- Investment guiding principles, including asset allocation and portfolio diversification 

- Understanding and managing different kinds of risk

- current and projected budgeting for retirement 

Section 3: Your Retirement Income Stream

 Learn how to structure a retirement income stream to address your retirement wants and needs. Topics include: 

 - Shifting the focus from accumulation to distribution

- The retirement income planning process

- Managing your retirement assets to help provide income for life

 

Section 4: Making the Most of What You Have

Review your employee benefits and look at the basics of estate planning, wills and trusts. Topics include: 

- Your benefit plan

- Protecting against unexpected expenses

- Estate planning basics
