Retirement Planning for Business Owners
Retirement planning can range from simple to complex. As a business owner, you want to focus on the growth and profitability of your business. The topics we will discuss are Pay Yourself First and Fix Your Finances, Retirement Plans for Business Owners, Rollovers (401K, 457, 403B), Business Insurance, and Annuities and How They Work. This class will give an in-depth overview of the different retirement planning options that are available for small business owners.
Instructor: Juanita Stephens, Financial Planner
Juanita is an Investment Advisor with SagePoint Financial in Austin, TX. She has been a financial professional since 2004. Her career began at IBM where she was a Programmer and Manager for 18 years. She successfully made the transition from corporate to entrepreneur in 1995 when she opened a bookstore with her husband, and later converted that business to an e-commerce gifts and collectibles store. In 2004 she became an Agent/Owner with Farmers Insurance and Financial Services, proudly serving all of Texas.
Juanita is passionate about financial literacy education, for both adults and kids. Through her practice she offers free monthly financially literacy classes. A native Austinite, Juanita served as the School Board Vice President for Meridian Charter School in Round Rock, TX for six years. She is active in her local church choir and Prayer Shawl Ministry.
Juanita has been quoted in newspaper and magazine articles, including Austin Business Journal and Ujima Magazine. Juanita conducts monthly Wisdom Women and Wealth educational seminars and speaks at conferences such as the Executive Women in Texas Government. Juanita was also featured on ABC/Yahoo Remake America series.
