Join The Robert Stewart Experience as the band reunites one last time with Terry Scott (guitar, keys and vocals) for a grand send-off performance and party honoring saxophonist, composer and bandleader Robert Stewart.
Robert is retiring at age 46 after nearly 30 years of performing with the likes of Quincy Jones, Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach and Freddie Hubbard. He was mentored by tenor sax legend Pharoah Sanders and toured with Wynton Marsalis. Here at home in the Bay Area, he has been more community-based and made The Robert Stewart Experience a Saturday night ritual for his many fans and admirers at the former Rasselas Jazz Club. He will continue to play through the end of the year most Saturday nights at Sheba Lounge and Sunday evenings at Southern Cafe in Oakland.
Terry Scott, formerly with the Gap Band, played with The Robert Stewart Experience for years until moving to Nashville to take his musical career in a different direction a couple of years ago. It is a special treat to be able to bring Terry back for this special farewell party and performance.
