Retirement Celebration Honoring Nancy Walton
Date and time
Description
At the start of August, our colleague, Nancy Walton, State Librarian and Director of State Library Services, is retiring after more than two decades working with libraries and library policy in the State of Minnesota, following an extensive prior career as librarian-manager in Maryland, California, and Morocco. Tireless advocate for libraries, data privacy, library broadband access, literacy, and lifelong learners, Nancy’s personal and professional commitment has resulted in high service to Minnesota.
In Nancy’s honor, State Library Services is holding a celebration on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Minnesota Department of Education in Roseville, Main building, Lower level, East Atrium. We invite you to join us or send a note of congratulations.
Come join your colleagues -- from the library community and from the Minnesota Department of Education – to wish Nancy well and to celebrate a life of joy and commitment in service to libraries, government, and the public.
