Rethinking Design Systems and the Future of Craft
Event Information
About this Event
Ana Andrade is a designer, activist, artist and entrepreneur fighting for social welfare and sustainability causes in the fashion and textile industry.
Ana spent more than a year living and working with communities of artisans and lacemakers in northern Brazil, with whom she co-designed and produced the pieces for her graduate collection. It was during that time that she also developed the theoretical framework for her research thesis and the idea behind VEREDAS, gaining invaluable lessons on craftsmanship and community building, creative planning, team management and division of labour.
At this Webinar we'll be talking about how can we rethink design systems from sustainability , material sourcing , traceability of supply chain and workers welfare
