Event description

Description

- RECOMMENDED FOR MANAGERS & EMPLOYEES -

Discrimination represents one of the most destructive workplace issues faced by public and private employers today. Liability from harassment based on race, religion or national origin can be injurious to any employer’s business. Retaliation is a guaranteed injury to business, morale, productivity and reputation. Yet, retaliation is the most frequently filed charge with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and retaliation was the second most frequently filed charge with the Illinois Department of Human Rights in fiscal year 2015; second only to sex-based discrimination.

The purpose of this training is to educate managerial and human resources employees on the definition of retaliation, provide examples of retaliation, and appropriate guidelines for preventing and investigating complaints of retaliation
