RESULTS UK National Conference 2018

Joining the Dots to achieve the Global Goals

Imagine living in a world without extreme poverty, with zero hunger, good health, and gender equality; a world where everyone has access to education, clean water and sanitation. Perhaps this sounds unreal, but this is no idle dream: these are the Global Goals we have set ourselves to achieve by 2030.

At a time of rising division, national self-interest and global insecurity, advocacy on international development is more important than ever. But how can we build a movement when the world is in the midst of such great change? It's a big goal, and to get there we all need to come together and join the dots. This is a time to reflect on how we can play our part in forging this wider movement to end extreme poverty by 2030.

Join us in London at the RESULTS UK 2018 National Conference, 'Joining the Dots...', over the weekend of Saturday 2 to Monday 4 June.

This year, we'll be exploring our role within the wider movement throughout the weekend of our National Conference. Through a series of sessions on Saturday and Sunday with high profile speakers and inspiring activists, together we'll learn how to join the dots and achieve the world we want to see by 2030. As well as this, you'll meet like-minded people from around the country who share the same desire to end poverty and be the change they want to see in the world.

You can also join us for an Advocacy Day on Monday 4 June. You will have the opportunity to put your skills to action by speaking to MPs and civil servants. The Advocacy Day is free to attend, but please make sure you book the correct ticket if you'd like to join us.

What do people say about the RESULTS National Conference?

"Really inspirational - I am more confident with my mission as a grassroots advocate. I am more than ready to carry on my mission".

"It was great to meet like-minded people and learn so many interesting things about people's role in activism and poverty"

We hope you can join us!

Please contact the office if you would like any additional information. We are able to support a limited number of attendees with travel bursaries - get in touch with Hannah (hannah.mcleanknight@results.org.uk) to find out more.
