Restore Michiana Workshops, a collaboration of Indiana Landmarks and the Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph County, are held on the third Saturday of April, June, August, and October. All workshops held at Kizer House, unless otherwise noted.
Plaster/Drywall Repair - Overview of wall materials and lathe types, mixing plaster, modern drywall and its use in rehab, safe practices and tips for making the tasks more manageable.

Re-pointing Brick – A hands-on workshop. Participants will learn to mix historic mortar, remove and replace damaged bricks, and re-point.
This is a morning and afternoon workshop, with lunch provided.

Wood Window Restoration – Determine repair ability of your windows and improve energy efficiency. Window rehabilitation including removing and installing new glazing, installing weather-stripping and re-roping.

Woodwork – Using stock trim to replicate historic trim.
