Restore: Deeply Rooted, Boldly Growing
Overview
"In nature, nothing is perfect, and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful." - Alice Walker
Welcoming in the new year can bring about a myriad of emotions. Excitement, joy, enthusiasm as well as fear, stress, and uncertainty. Many of us may go into the year with new aspirations, goals, intentions and resolutions about ways we want to become better versions of ourselves. As we welcome newness, it's important that we also welcome moments of pause, gratitude, and appreciation for the brilliant humans we already are. Nature provides a perfect way for us to do that.
Root into the new year with Black Women In Nature through restorative practices that include meditation, yoga, dance, herbal demos, reflective dialogue and hiking in nature.
This event is open to women and gender expansive people of color.
What to expect:
Majority of the experience will take place indoors inside the Eagle View Lodge and about 45-60 min will take place outdoors hiking an easy to moderate trail. We will have a few yoga mats available but you should also bring your own if you have one. Prepare your layers for the outdoor portion (hats, scarfs, gloves, double socks, coats etc.). More details regarding guest speakers to come!
