Restorative Support for Families After Traumatic Death: Building a Bereavement-Informed Community

Join us Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Texas Children's Hospital Pavilion for Women in Houston, TX.

With the generous support from the Caldera-Saindon Grant, we are able to offer this two-day training for $200/person. Morning and afternoon refreshments, lunch will be provided.

    Valet parking is available, with a flat $13 charge for each 24-hour period (in-and-out privileges are not permitted; additional charges would apply). From valet, the elevators will be to the right once you enter the lobby, and you will proceed to the fourth floor. Should you choose to self-park, there are four levels of on-site parking in the underground garage. The cost is $5 for the first hour and increases up to $12 per 24-hour period. From self-park, you will take the elevator from your parking level up to the lobby. You will then walk across the lobby and use a second set of elevators, up to the fourth floor.

    Continuing Education: The Psychology Section within Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Psychology Section within Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Additionally, the Psychology Section within Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine is approved by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners to sponsor continuing education for social workers.

    The Psychology Section at BCM Pediatrics/Texas Children's is pleased to provide you with Continuing Education (CE) credit for attendance. Each day of the training will be a separate CE session. To receive credit for a given day, each attendee must arrive on time, sign in upon arrival, and attend the full day's session. There will be a required CE check out at the end of each day as well as a CE activity evaluation for each day's CE session. Full participation in both days will be awarded 11 hours of CE Credit (Day 1 = 5.5 CE and Day 2 = 5.5 CE).
