Description

SAFE Diverity Resource Fair, Mental Health & Wellness Workshop!

All Vendor must Bring Their Own Table And Chairs.

All workshops began with introduction and welcome by SAFE Diversity Communities-Founder/CEO, Thelma Scott & Workshop Co-Host Ms. Attorney Leona Filis.

The SAFE Diversity Team is working with Texas Organizing Project to help Hurricane Harvey survivors in throughout our community “Rebuild their Lives After Hurricane Harvey”. People are still living in houses with mold, still living in Hotels, some are living in cars and some are homeless.

These workshops are free to the public, as well as no fees are collected from the vendors who take time from their busy schedules to participate and share their resources and aspirations with the attendees. We ask all vendors to bring a door prize. Second, we accept all donations. You donations help with our yearly scholarship programs.

At each workshop all vendors are granted approximately 1-2 minutes to introduce themselves and tell a little about their services. At the last 20 – 30 minutes of the workshop the attendees and the vendors are given time to interact so that initial assessments of their situations could be recorded, and then if needed, an appointment was set so the applicants could meet at the vendor’s designated office for further evaluations.

Sometime we may scheduled performances by many of the youth whom are currently in the SAFE Diversity Ambassadors STEM Program or differents high school students applying for the 2018 scholarship.
