Introduction

CONFLICTS AND DILEMMAS AT WORK is designed for participants who want to learn how to deal with difficult workplace relationships between colleagues and perform gracefully under pressure.

This workshop offers participants an opportunity to understand the different elements and dynamics that poise challenges to a amicable work experience. It will lead participants to examine the different problem personalities, conflicts, and ethical dilemmas at work.

The skills taught are applicable in many different work environments such as in customer service, security, administration, production and operations.

Who should attend

This course is suitable for staff in frontline and operational roles, staff in supervisory roles, or individuals in professional and managerial positions.

Those who are self-employed and wish to overcome conflict and dilemmas at work are also encouraged to attend.

Learning methodology

This course will be conducted through mini-lectures, interactive activities, games, group discussions, case studies and self-assessments/tests.

Programme Outline

  • Identify the different problem personalities at the workplace and apply strategies to deal with them

  • Recognise the signals of office conflict and develop tactics to manage the situation

  • Appreciate the different conflict resolution strategies to handle conflict at the workplace

  • Apply different approaches to handling office conflict for positive outcomes

  • Examine negotiation styles to effectively negotiate for mutually acceptable outcome during a conflict

  • Handle stress with grace under work pressures and techniques for stress relieve

  • Identify ethical dilemmas at work and align personal values to the organisation

  • Handle sexuality and harassment concerns at the workplace

As a certified career coach by International Coach Academy, Hua Lim regularly conducts training and workshops to optimise the performance of career seekers towards self-satisfaction and fulfilment. As an educator, his passion in public speaking and communication has also led him to be an active Toastmasters recognised as Advanced Communicator (Bronze), Advanced Leader (Bronze).
