Boston Area Artists Resist: An Arts Activism Reserve Corps

Resistance Cabaret: A Boston Artists Against Violence Benefit Show for the Boston Anti-Racism Collaborative

This event is a co-produciton between ImprovBoston and Boston Area Artists Resist: An Arts Activism Reserve Corps, A coalition of artists of all stripes whose purpose it is to support local and global movements aimed at promoting justice, equality, peace, dialogue, and reducing violence.

The Boston Area Artists Resistance Cabaret is an evening of multidisciplinary art and activism that serves as an "activist check-up" for those of us who got fired up in November and may have become overwhelmed since.

The evening's performances include work by local playwrights, poets, and musicians. Participating artists include:

Wes Hazard - standup comedian
Jason Rabin - Member of the Ways And Means Committee
#SongMarch - Ways And Means Committee, Danielle Miraglia and Zion Rodman
Liana Asim - playwright/actor/director

and more!

We invite you to join us post-show for an audience and artist talk back, in which we will continue the conversations inspired by the performances, and explore the different perspectives, ideas, and potential steps forward that emerge from our evening together.

Admission is free of charge, but we will have a list of organizations, both local and national, that we will encourage audience to consider donating to after the performance. Half of the show's proceeds will be donated to the Boston Anti-Racism Collaborative.

The evening will be hosted by local comedian Nonye Brown-West.

Sunday, May 7 @ 6pm

 Tickets: $5 Suggested Donation
