Description

Description

Over the past year, people have organized and protested, to RESIST attacks on immigrants, Latinos, African Americans, Muslims, LGBTQ people, and others. Local governments and other local actors have pushed back with positive actions to address housing needs, raise the minimum wage, and address climate change. In this lecture series, we will REFOCUS the agenda on community and people-centered priorities, and begin the process to REBUILD our democracy.

The lecture series will focus on how local actions can provide short-term resistance and long-term alternatives. Attention will also be given to how we develop, achieve and sustain diverse and dynamic communities of opportunity and environmental justice.
