Resilient Systems Workshop
Date and time
Description
Learn from innovative research into improving the quality of healthcare by increasing system resilience.
The Centre for Applied Resilience in Healthcare (CARe) has been researching the resilience of healthcare systems since 2015 and has developed methods for improving the quality and safety of healthcare using this approach. We have now developed the Resilient Systems Quality Improvement toolkit for professionals to use to improve quality and safety in their own organisations. This provides step by step guidance, examples, and templates you can use to document your results as your own project progresses. By taking into account the complexity and variability of clinical work we aim to create more effective, sustainable improvements that benefit patients. The course will include information about resilience principles, demonstration and benefits of using the toolkit, examples of practical applications of the toolkit and opportunities to work on these with others. There will also be the possibility to discuss specific quality improvement challenges with resilience experts.
