Event description

Description

In partnership with the Flint Public Library, Flint ReCAST will host a public viewing of Moonlight. This event is part of Resiliency Week 2019.

The films portrays messages related how to be resilient in a hypermasculine toxic environment. After the movie, there will be a discussion about what issues the movie tackles and how it relates to being queer in a predominantly black city.

Zach Crutfield, Planned Parenthood Flint Organizer, has been invited to talk about how men of color do not get tested for STDs at rates of other populations.

Attendees will be informed about available resources and services. The film will be limited to attendees over the age of 18 or with caregivers permission due to film rating.
