About this event
How do we integrate knowledge about trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) into our organization's policies, procedures and practice? Join STRONG Kids as we answer this question and hear from Susan Turner, Appalachian Promise Alliance's (formerly Bristol's Promise) new PACEs coordinator, and a multi-sector panel as they share real-life examples of how they are implementing resilience-based and trauma-responsive practices in the classroom, after-school care, healthcare, postsecondary education and the community.
During the forum, there will be an interactive breakout session to put into practice how we progress from being trauma-informed to trauma-responsive. Participants will leave with concrete ideas, action items, and examples to apply to their programs and workplaces.
A light breakfast will be served. Register in advance to save your spot, as capacity is limited.
This forum is co-presented by STRONG Kids- a partnership between Ballad Health Niswonger Children's Network, Speedway Children's Charities, and the STRONG Accountable Care Community- a collective impact collaboration committed to regional resilience by addressing health improvement, educational success, and economic vitality.
