Event Details

Corridor8 and Yorkshire & Humber Visual Arts Network will be launching our first collaborative publication at The Art House Wakefield on Thursday the 1st of August, 6-8pm.

In a series of contributions, Kerry Harker, Thomas Hopkin, Sarah Smizz and writer-in-residence Alice Bradshaw interrogate the commonplace use of the term ‘resilience’ and what it really means for practising artists in the region.

"Surviving or Thriving? How visual artists in Yorkshire respond to being called 'resilient'." Alice Bradshaw

"Seeing beyond a false 'ecology' for visual arts in the North." Kerry Harker

Copies of the publication will be free to take away, and activities and merchandise will also be on offer. We hope to see you there! The event is free to attend and a great chance to meet other artists and join in the conversation.

This collaborative project is funded by Arts Council England and Sheffield Hallam University.
