Resilience – Improving Personal Resilience for School Staff
Wed, October 12, 2016, 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM BST
This is a free training session open to all school staff. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and network with colleagues.
Places are very limited so please RSVP to confirm your place.
Working in a school is not just about educating the students. Dealing with Parents, Governors, Ofsted and your colleagues leads to complex, and often difficult to manage relationships, with many demanding stakeholders.
We can't change the world we live in and the demands within the Education sector are unlikely to diminish. What can change however is you, how you interpret things and subsequently react to them.
At this first of three sessions looking at how improving personal resilience can impact positively on our wellbeing, relationships and results we will provide a brief overview or resilience and discuss why it so important in today’s society. We will then explore thinking traps, which are the tricks our minds play to distort the truth, learn how to recognise them and use accurate and flexible thinking to minimise them.
Join us and gain invaluable techniques to help you stay calm under pressure and be successful in your role and in your personal life. Whether you are a school leader, a teacher or support staff you will be better equipped to support your students and meet their needs if you are Resilient.
