This limited release documentary examines how abuse, neglect and other adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) affect children's development & health outcomes in adulthood. Research shows ACEs are common, they affect all income levels, and their impact on health and well-being is significant. "The child may not remember, but the body remembers."

Be sure to find your ACE score before the event: https://www.publicschoolsfirstnc.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Finding-Your-ACE-Score.pdf

There will be short commentary following the film. Time will be provided for Q and A with audience. THIS FILM IS INTENDED FOR ADULT AUDIENCES.

About the organizer

Public Schools First NC is a statewide nonprofit, nonpartisan organization focused solely on public education issues. We collaborate with teachers, parents, business and civic leaders and students across our state in support of an effective public education system that  prepares each child for life.

PSFNC is a 501(c)3; donations are tax-deductible.

Strong public schools are critical for growing our economy and maintaining the vitality of our communities. We seek to educate and inform North Carolinians about critical issues that impact our schools, our teachers, and students and to engage all stakeholders in supporting a quality public education system.
