Description

Dear Partners,

This is our final opportunity to learn with Edgework Consulting this year. We have really enjoyed hosting partners to learn and grow with Edgework, and we hope you'll join us in South Boston! Thank you to the Edgerley Family South Boston Boys & Girls Club, a Partnerships for Social and Emotional Learning Initiative participant, for sharing their space with us.

Resilience: Amplify Your Ability to Bounce Back and Adapt to Adversity
Facilitated by: Edgework Consulting

More than ever, people and teams need to be nimble and flexible, able to adapt to sudden changes, work under significant pressure, and stay focused, all in environments that can be unpredictable. Our resilience workshop describes the unique intersection of the most current science about stress, and the specific attributes and skills that individuals, teams, and organizations need to manage themselves in dynamic and fast-paced environments. In this workshop, participants explore the research and the skillset that enhance resilience. The session explores four distinct types of resilience: self- control, stress tolerance, adaptive capacity, and interpersonal resilience. Participants leave the session with specific techniques and tools to further their resilience and an understanding of how they react to stressful situations so they can stay calm and focused in those unexpected moments of adversity.

Schedule: We'll have breakfast and coffee available at 8:30am and begin at 9:00am. At 12pm, you'll be free to go!

Getting There: There is typically plenty of street parking outside the Boys & Girls Club at this time in the morning. Andrew Station is a 14 minute walk (0.7mi) to the club from the Red Line. The 11 bus route stops right in front of the club, and the 9 route stops on 7th St.

These opportunities are made possible by the Partnerships for Social and Emotional Learning Initiative.
