RESILIENCE 2019 Preview Luncheon

Thursday, June 20th ~ Noon-1:30 pm ~ Mesa County Dept of Human Services, Room 1060

Luncheon hosted by the Counseling & Education Center and the Community Impact Council

Working with vicarious trauma and ongoing emotional stress can lead to burnout and resignation. Many employees suffer in silence. If a staff member leaves your organization, you will spend more than half of their annual wages to replace them. That's the bad news - but here's the good news.

RESILIENCE: Skills & Support for Helping Professionals is returning this Fall 2019! Come to our complimentary, informative luncheon on June 20th to learn about this valuable program facilitated by licensed professional counselors from The Counseling & Education Center (CEC) and the Western Slope Center for Children (The Center). Participants in the Aug-Nov program will develop skills and strategies to build resilience and job satisfaction, decreasing burnout and compassion fatigue. Thanks to a generous grant from the Western Colorado Community Foundation, we can offer the RESILIENCE program at a minimal cost per participant.

CEC is grateful and proud to collaborate with Mesa County Public Health, The Center, Roice-Hurst Humane Society, and Hilltop Community Resources in presenting the RESILIENCE program. Many thanks to the Community Impact Council for the space and time to host this luncheon, where you'll also hear about this great group.

Please join us on June 20th! RSVP via the "Register" button on this page, or feel free to contact Chris or Nancy at CEC... 970-243-9539 or 970-985-8347.

Sample comments from last year's RESILIENCE attendees:

Turnover and burnout often occur in our organization. Staff participation in a program like this would be preventive and ensure better care for our clients as well.

This program has given me tools to thrive.
