Residential HVAC Load Calculations Manual J,S,D - Rockford, IL
Thu, April 13, 2017, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM CDT
The Illinois Office of Energy & Recycling announces the return of its Building Industry Training series. Events designed for the Illinois construction industry to support implementation of the 2015 IECC, effective statewide January 1, 2016.
A home’s HVAC systems not only consume huge amounts of a home’s total energy budget, but also impact the comfort and well-being of its occupants more than any other system in the home. So, design it right and sleep tight!
Homebuilders, designers, code officials, HVAC and home performance contractors are encouraged to attend to “take your first class” or even just “tune-up” what you already know about performing code-required Manual J load calculations and Manual S equipment selection.
Topics covered include:
- ACCA Manual J8 (loads)
- ACCA Manual S (sizing & selection)
- ACCA Manual D (duct design)
- ASHRAE 62.2 Ventilation
- Submitting Compliance Documentation
This workshop is instructor-led, utilizing a copy of ACCA's Bob's House - A Case Study of The Residential HVAC Design Process, short-forms, and duct calcultors used for quick and easy review of HVAC designs.
Events approved for NATE, 6.0 AIA/CES LUs (HSW), 6.0 PDH for PE’s, 3.0 BPI CEUs and 0.6 ICC CEUs (ICC PEP #1614)
