Florence Pittman-Hardy, Attorney
Florence began her career while an undergraduate student at Howard University in Washington, DC. As the President of the Entrepreneurial Society for 3 years, she helped created a consulting program in which students provided operational knowledge and marketing ideas to neighborhood businesses. Upon graduation, Florence moved to Germany for 6 months as a fellow with the Congress-Bundesrat Young Professionals Program, where she studied international business.
After returning to the States, she began working toward a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship. She has worked for the City of Chicago in the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection as a Senior Business Consultant.
While working for the City of Chicago during the day, she began to take night classes at the John Marshall Law School (JMLS) to work toward a Juris Doctor degree in corporate, transactional and intellectual property law. Most notably, she assisted in the creation of the new Business Transactions Externship Program at JMLS which now provides free legal advice to business owners who do not have the resources to enlist the services of an attorney in handling business transactions.
Florence is also a Certified Mediator with the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago.
